Today on 12th October, as Apple promised, they have made it possible to download their new operating system for series of their old and recently released products. This firmware and IOS 5 update will work smoothly on iPhone 4s and also the previous version of iPhone 4, 3gs, iPad 2 and 1 as well as iPod touch. If you have jailbroken your phone, it really does not make any difference in the way you operate your phone but all it does is just allow users to install all the third party apps which Apple does not provide you or it does not allow you to install them.

Well, its not all good, its just a double edged sword. But the positive point is that you can choose from a list of useful and interesting apps to install on your iPhone, those apps never appear on the Apple’s App Store due to SDK restrictions of course. For example, Apple does not allow apps to continue running in the background on the iPhone, well it really does not mean that the iPhone is not capable of running apps in the background.
